We’re looking for a talented software engineer to join our development team and build extraordinary software that changes how the Research & Education networking community collaborates, innovates and shares knowledge.
GÉANT is a unique, diverse, and collaborative organisation, serving the National Research and Education Networks in 40 European countries. With a head office in Amsterdam and a branch office in Cambridge, UK, GÉANT enables research, education, science and innovation across the globe via our high-speed data communications networks and secure access technologies.
In this role, you’ll be working on projects to support various business functions across the organisations (e.g. our Events, Finance, Network Operations teams), developing, testing and implementing bespoke systems in Python and related technologies. You will also contribute to projects that facilitate collaboration in our R&E community and to help manage and improve the GÉANT network. You will also enjoy regular contact with the Solution Architects, other Software Developers, and the Product Owners and stakeholders in an agile environment.
We’re looking for someone to work from our Amsterdam office so you’ll need to have the right to work in the Netherlands as well as live within commuting distance of the office. This is a hybrid working role so you will need to spend at least two days in the office each week. The role will be offered as a 1-year definite contract, with the possibility of becoming indefinite thereafter.
