About The Role

Are you a Network Engineer or Architect looking for a new challenge in an company driven by a shared goal of improving research and education connectivity globally? If so, we are looking for a Network Architect to join our team in Amsterdam, NL or Cambridge, UK.

This is a permanent and full-time role. If the role is filled in our Amsterdam office, it will be offered as a 1-year definite contract, with the possibility of becoming indefinite thereafter.

We don’t have a set closing date for this role and this position will remain open until filled. Therefore we recommend that you apply as soon as possible.

About You

You will be a Network Engineer or Architect, with proven experience in network technologies in a vendor or network service provider environment. You will be a network expert who is excited by putting into practice "real-world" input into future network designs. You will be confident in carrying out long-horizon investigations and testing (5+ years ahead) of network technologies, potentially within specific projects or for network planning.

Providing technical input to procurement processes, tender writing, and evaluation, including writing functional requirements and specifications is key. Therefore you will be proficient in this. In addition, you will be confident in presenting to a variety of audiences from the world of tech and non-tech.

Working Arrangements

We have adopted a flexible-hybrid model which means that employees will work flexibly between a remote and office environment.  Weekly visits to the office are required for most employees to support our values and collaborative culture and enable our teams to deliver great work.  For this role we anticipate that you may be required in the office for around 2 days per week.
